  Observations - All sky camera

Almira Observatory is fitted with a homemade all-sky camera that is used primarily to record videos of bright meteors.  It is left recording mainly on clear nights around the peaks of meteor showers, but sometimes is also left recording to catch sporadics.  Sometimes it picks up ISS passes.  You can find out more about how this all sky camera was put together here.
The camera outputs large numbers of meteors recordings, sometimes as many as six per night.  These are uploaded to Youtube.  Because of the high rate of production and large file size it is not practicable for me to upload them to this website.  You can view these video files on Youtube here.

Because of the algorithms Youtube uses to compress video files, these videos are of a lower quality than the original recordings.
